URBAN FARMING PROJECT

URBAN FARIMING PROJECT is  a community based pproject which operates with in Urban areas of Central Uganda. The project is to encourange and help people to partcipate in Urban farming in order to improve their standards of Living.

The project had enbale to change belive among people in Urban arears that farming is onlt met for people living in rural areas.

We have been able to work together to creat a small garden in Wampewo along Gayaza road just 9 km from Kampala.

VYDEL ADULT EDUCATION CENTRE

This is a well established school that can offer both formal and informal education to adults and vulnerable youth who never got a chance to study during their early years due to a number of factors. The school was founded by Voice of the Y

outh Development Link (VYDEL), a community based organization in Kawempe Division basing on the modern principles of community education suiting the current trends. With formal education we train those who wish to acquire Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) Certificates. We also offer basic instrumental Literacy skills of writing , reading , speech and calculations in English, Kiswahili, Arabic and Luganda (local language).

In the formal sector we offer life skills such as
(I) FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
Bringing change of behavioral practice in health, sanitation and environmental affairs

(II) SOCIAL SKILLS

* Training in gender sensitization , development of decision making skills.
* Supply of information and communication material on social empowerment issues.
* Organization of Social cultural activities, issues for specific action groups . (e.g prevention of dowery, early marriage).

(III) ECONOMIC SKILLS

* Linkage with micro finance services
* Marketing support services
* Entrepreneurship skills

And (IV) COMPUTER LITERACY

CHILD PROJECT UGANDA

Child Project Uganda is a community based project that seeks to help the orphaned and all abandoned children in Uganda. It is to be operating in Central Uganda, in Kampala and Wakiso District where most of children have been affected civil wars, HIV/aids, poverty and violence hence they have ended up on streets as street kids, some are in child labor, some have lost their parents, dropped out of school, lack health care, food while some have lost their lives.

 

Child Project east Uganda is aiming at creating a better future for the disadvantaged children by supporting different orphanages, providing quality education through sponsorships, providing scholastic materials, support infrastructure developments, providing emergency relief to children in internally displaced camps and in flooded area and providing support to children with HIV/Aids.
 

Child Project Uganda will work hand in with different orphanage centers that have already developed effective programs but don’t have the finance and human capital resources, Child Project Uganda then mobilize and look for finance and human capital resources which it gives to the orphanages so that they can have good health care, good education, food and other basic needs. The project will not only provide financial and human capital resources but also work hand in hand with orphanages directors to see that they provide a better care to the children.
 

Child Projects Uganda also has the disease prevention and health care strategy. since HIV and Malaria are the major cause of death of most of young children, Child Projects Uganda intervention are aimed at disease control, reproductive health, clean water sanitation and an health environment.
To help disadvantaged children living in poverty have a capacity to become young adults, parents and future leaders who will bring a lasting peace in their countries.

OUR APPROACH
Child Project Uganda approach focuses on working with children throughout their life. From birth to young adulthood as well as with their families, communities and local organization.
Child Project Uganda intends to work in all central Uganda but it will start first with Wakiso District and Kampala District because these are the regional areas where children are most affected with armed conflicts.

ACCOUNTABLITY.
Child Projects Uganda is more than ready to be accountable in whatever donation or funds it receives .we are very willing to be transparent and honest with our donors and stake holders.

LEADERSHIP
The project will be established by Voice of the Youth Development Link (VYDEL) , a community based organization found in Kawempe division ,Uganda. VYDEL was founded by youth people of Kawempe Division in 2010 and later registered in 2011 by Kampala City Council Authority. It has been the leading community based organization in Bwaise 1 parish to introduce programs to people in communities.

Thank you for visiting our blog, Voice of the Youth Development Link (VYDEL)  is a young growing community based youth organization found in Uganda. It was founded by local disadvantaged youth people of Kawempe Division in 2010 and later registered in September,2011.

VYDEL brings together a number of youth people together. It supports youth people to develop into active citizens by providing exciting and worthwhile activities within a structured and safe Environment.
