Development Link (VYDEL), a community based organization in Kawempe
Division basing on the modern principles of community education suiting
the current trends. With formal education we train those who wish to
acquire Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) Certificates. We also offer
basic instrumental Literacy skills of writing , reading , speech and
calculations in English, Kiswahili, Arabic and Luganda (local language).
In the formal sector we offer life skills such as
(I) FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
Bringing change of behavioral practice in health, sanitation and environmental affairs
(II) SOCIAL SKILLS
* Training in gender sensitization , development of decision making skills.
* Supply of information and communication material on social empowerment issues.
* Organization of Social cultural activities, issues for specific action groups . (e.g prevention of dowery, early marriage).
(III) ECONOMIC SKILLS
* Linkage with micro finance services
* Marketing support services
* Entrepreneurship skills
And (IV) COMPUTER LITERACY
The management welcomes youth of all walks of life. We are proud to have a team of highly qualified teachers and social workers who are committed to provide high quality services such as effective teaching coupled with guidance and counseling. This enables students to acquire their desired goals as well as developing the community.
